Assam green tea comes from the Assam region in northeastern India, known for its robust and malty black teas. Unlike its black tea counterpart, Assam green tea offers a more subtle flavor profile. It has a light, fresh, and slightly sweet taste with grassy and vegetal notes. The tea is harvested from the lush, tropical lowlands of Assam, giving it a unique character compared to other green teas. Rich in antioxidants, Assam green tea provides various health benefits, including improved heart health and boosted metabolism. It is best brewed at around 80°C (176°F) for 2-3 minutes to avoid bitterness.
